Join us for a conversation panel: What is Art?
Sunday, June 2, 2:00pm. Learn more.
A simple white canvas. A $200,000 pricetag. The real cost: Decades-long friendships. This is the world of Yasmina Reza’s Art. Set in Paris, the story revolves around three friends who find their previously solid 15-year friendship on shaky ground when one of them buys an expensive piece of abstract art.
The play asks the question “What is art?” but this dramatic comedy is as much about friendship as it is about art. In an era when we seem more divided than ever, this funny and insightful show explores what happens when opinion and affection collide.
